Ritchie Melchor, President

Ritchie is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he was a star running back on the football team. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in the Social Work field working with children including group homes, therapeutic foster care and family foster care from positions of residential counselor, group home Director,  Residential Director to the current position of President. Ritchie is an avid fan of Appalachian State football and the Miami Dolphins.

 

 

Pamela Melchor, Case Manager

Pam graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Sociology minoring in Criminal Justice. She began her career as a Residential Counselor in a girl's long term group home.  She continued to work in the group home field with boys and girls for the next twelve years before moving to foster care.  Pam's foster care experience includes licensing and MAPP training, as well as case management. She also managed a therapeutic foster care program.  She took a ten year break from non-profit social work to work in the corporate world. Pam missed social work and working with children and returned to the field in 2023. In her spare time, Pam enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and watching football and soccer.  

 

 

Glenn Sutton, Case Manager

Glenn Sutton graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Wayne state college in Nebraska. He has over 30 years of experience in the Social Work field. He has a passion for helping people, especially involving youth.

 

 

Tasha Melton, Licensing and Training Social Worker

Tasha Melton grduated from East Carolina University (1993) with a BA Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. She started out working for Lutheran Family Services as a Residential Counselor I, with teenage girls. She then became an assistant director of a teen boy's group home.  After about two years she went into the foster care program working with teens that needed a higher level of foster home. There she became certified to teach the MAPP classes and started training foster parents. She worked for LFS for ten years before going to Cabarrus County Deparment of Social Services as a Licensing Worker for ten years. She came to Carolina Family Connections in 2014 as the Trainer and Licensing Specialist.  

 

 

Kaitlyn Randall, Uncc BSW Intern

Kaitlyn is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
